Training and skill development
- Young Farmer Crop Plan Credit (MASC) assists young and beginning farmers with the costs of AgriInsurance, while ensuring their crop production decisions are made based on sound research, analysis and their own cost of production.
- Farm Credit Canada offers free events tailored for anyone involved with Canadian agriculture.
- Canadian Total Excellence in Agricultural Management-CTEAM (Agri-Food Management Excellence) can help develop and implement your own strategic and operations plans for your farm.
Leadership opportunities
- Manitoba Young Farmers Conference is an annual conference to bring together young farmers from across the province and learn about various farm management topics. It’s an opportunity to learn, connect with fellow producers and share experiences.
- Canadian Young Farmers’ Forum (CYFF) leading young agriculture producers across Canada to provide support, encouragement and resources to promote agriculture.
- Cattlemen’s Young Leaders Program provides a combination of formal and informal opportunities to learn from existing beef cattle industry leaders and other youth organizations undertaking mentorship opportunities.
- Global Youth Ag-Summit brings young leaders from around the world together to discuss ideas, develop a vision and deliver action.

Financing
- MASC Bridging Generations Initiatives:
- Young Farmer Rebate (YFR) assists young and beginning farmers to develop or expand their farming operations. As an eligible young farmer, the YFR offers an annual rebate of your total loan principal, and is available in each year of a loan's first five years.
- Flexible Financing to young farmers (18-39 years of age) can assist through the critical purchase and start-up period of farm operations. Eligible young farmes can opt for either 90 per cent financing or five years of interest-only payments.
