Developing Social and Affordable Housing
Apply for funding to expand the housing supply
Housing developers and support service providers can now apply any time for several types of funding through a single ongoing intake process, following these steps:
- Complete the Self-Assessment to see the programs for which your project may be eligible.
- Sign up for an information session (optional) to learn about the programs, eligibility, and application process.
- Read the Application Guide to learn what you’ll need to supply in your proposal and what will improve it.
- Fill out the Universal Application Form and submit it to Manitoba Housing. Use the code you receive from the Self-Assessment. Only one application is needed to apply for all programs for which your project is eligible.
- Staff will work with you to compile supporting documents and any other information needed to ensure your application is complete.
- Once a complete application is submitted, you can expect a preliminary decision within eight weeks. If your proposal is conditionally approved, we’ll send you a letter with your maximum eligible amount to help you secure other funding sources, and we’ll work with you to meet the conditions for final approval.
Please contact us any time with questions.
We look forward to working together to expand the supply of social, affordable, and market housing in Manitoba.
