Seven new tenants have found a place to call home in Manitoba Housing’s Ellice Place at 555 Ellice Avenue, the assisted-living senior’s facility in Winnipeg that is contributing to the vast changes in their daily lives. Upon learning about Ellice Place, the supportive services it could provide, and the number of resources available, the new tenants were intrigued to apply - and they are glad they did!

Ruth shared, "[I’ve noticed] how nice it is; the staff is all very nice to us, and we don’t have to do dishes!" Others feel safe with the security system in place, and have welcomed the quiet corridors with open arms, elated to call Ellice Place home. Gerry even laughed and said, "At my age, I deserve it!" Then, joking aside, he noted, "It’s the right place for me."

All finding common ground, these tenants have found Ellice Place to be a restful and clean space with a wonderful menu; sending thanks to the talented cooks and the supportive staff. Sharen said, "[The staff] will go out of their way to make sure we’re happy—and we are."

Everyone agreed that Ellice Place is a peaceful, communicative, and dedicated facility where seniors can live independently with the assistance they need—without having to do any dishes!
