Pregnancy
The Early Childhood Development section describes the investments made to support families and communities in helping children get the best possible start in life.

Parent Child Coalitions bring resources together through community organizations across the province to support parenting, improve children's nutrition and literacy, and build capacity for helping families in their own communities.

The Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Strategy helps with the prevention of alcohol use during pregnancy and intervention, care and support of individuals living with FASD.

Families First offers home visiting supports to families with children, from pregnancy to school entry.

The Healthy Baby Prenatal Benefit is a monthly cheque available to income-eligible women to help with eating well during pregnancy.

Healthy Baby Community Support Programs offer social support and informal learning opportunities to encourage early, regular prenatal care and promote healthy infant development.
