Health and Child Care Infrastructure Project
Through the Early Learning and Child Care Infrastructure Fund Agreement and Action Plan*, Manitoba will provide up to $20.9M for the creation of over 300 new child care spaces for children under the age of seven in two health regions where there is high demand.
The Health and Child Care Infrastructure Project creates new child care centres in healthcare facilities across the province in partnership with health authorities and non-profit child care operators. The project is a key part of the Manitoba government’s commitment to accessible child care and supports the recruitment and retention of the healthcare workforce, as well as families, in the participating regions.
*This version of Manitoba’s Early Learning and Child Care Infrastructure Fund Agreement and Action Plan is being published pending the creation of the final approved federal version.
