Other Flood Protection

Ste. Rose du Lac

A diking system was built to protect the town following the damages and impacts that occurred in the 1975 flood. The 1986 flood overtopped these dikes so the federal, provincial and local governments upgraded the existing structures. New dikes and other infrastructure were also built. These works cost $2.75 million. They protect against 100-year flood levels on the Turtle River.
