Whether you are looking for reports, maps, journal articles or video/audio cassette recordings dealing with these topics, we can help. We have an extensive collection and a world of information at our fingertips via in-house or online databases.
Established in 1975, the library collection has grown to hold over 30,000 volumes. Subject areas include the geosciences and the mineral and petroleum industries. As the provincial depository for the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), the library has an extensive GSC collection with publications dating back to the late 1800s.
The library also offers:
- a comprehensive map collection including surficial, geophysical, bedrock, and preliminary geological maps
- more than 400 scientific and technical journals
- exchange publications from the United States, Ontario, North Dakota, Saskatchewan and Minnesota geological surveys
- a large collection of educational VHS recordings.
If the information is not in our collection, we can direct you to technical and scientific information around the world.
