Attending a Meeting
Committee meetings are usually held in Rooms 254 and 255 of the Legislative Building. Any member of the public may attend a meeting and watch from the gallery; there is no need to register or give notice for this. Both rooms are wheelchair accessible.
If you would like to view a meeting but are unable to attend in person, all Standing Committee meetings are also broadcast and are available to watch on our website: Committee Broadcasts and on our YouTube channels: Room 255 and Room 254.
As per our standard practice, the displaying of signs, props, banners, slogans, political messages or messages related to Bills (including on clothing), and other exhibits is not permitted in the Committee rooms, or in your camera view if you are appearing virtually. Clothing with inappropriate language or messages that could be construed as inflammatory is also not permitted.
When viewing proceedings from the public gallery in the Committee room, audience participation is not permitted. Please refrain from applauding or cheering.
