The results of competitive bidding on November 9, 2016 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $62,993.00 being added to provincial revenue.
Thirteen lease parcels, covering 1376 hectares (3,400.09 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $52,977.00. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $38.50 ($95.13 per acre).
Silver Hawk Resources Ltd paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $407.50 per hectare ($164.91 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the final sale scheduled for 2016. The next sale will be held on February 8, 2017. The deadline for posting requests is November 11, 2016.
