The results of competitive bidding on November 4, 2015 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Mineral Resources, resulted in a total of $784,766.08 being added to provincial revenue.
Twenty-seven lease parcels, covering 1424 hectares (3,518.71 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $768,982.08. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $540.02 ($218.54 per acre).
Windfall Resources Ltd, paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $6,756.79 per hectare ($2,734.44 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the finial sale scheduled for 2015. The next sale will be held on February 10, 2016. The deadline for posting requests is November 6, 2015.
