The results of competitive bidding on November 9, 2011 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Innovation, Energy and Mines, resulted in a total of $3,077,095.20 being added to provincial revenue.
Fifty Three lease parcels, covering 5292.87 hectares (13,088.56 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $3,037,370.15. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $573.86 ($232.23 per acre).
Badger Pass Minerals Inc, paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly area. The firm paid $4,703.92 per hectare ($1,903.65 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This is the last of four sales scheduled for 2011. The next sale will be held on February 8, 2012. The deadline for posting requests is November 11, 2011.
