The results of competitive bidding on May 16, 2018 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $63,733.37 being added to provincial revenue.
Fifteen lease parcels, covering 1,535.41 hectares (3,793.99 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $52,359.43. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $34.10 ($84.26 per acre).
Silver Hawk Resources Ltd paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Manson Field area. The firm paid $152.47 per hectare ($61.70 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the second sale scheduled for 2018. The next sale will be held on August 15, 2018. The deadline for posting requests is May 18, 2018.
