The results of competitive bidding on May 13, 2015 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Mineral Resources, resulted in a total of $699,670.60 being added to provincial revenue.
Seven lease parcels, covering 528 hectares (1,304.69 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $695,022.60. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $1,316.33 ($532.71 per acre).
Silver Hawk Resources Ltd, paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $6,077.77 per hectare ($2,459.64 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the second sale scheduled for 2015. The next sale will be held on August 12, 2015. The deadline for posting requests is May 15, 2015.
