Synopsis of Manitoba's Oil Lease Sale

The results of competive bidding on Feb. 5, 2025, for Crown Oil and Gas Rights which was offered by Business, Mining, Trade and Job Creation resulted in a total of $11,173.07 being added to provincial revenue.
Seven parcels, covering 414.42 hectares (1,024.054 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $6,922.60. The average bonus price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $17.50 per hectare ($43.24 per acre).
This is the first land sale scheduled for 2025. The next sale will be held on May 7, 2025. The deadline for posting requests is Feb. 6, 2025.
