Synopsis of Manitoba's Oil Lease Sale

The results of competitive bidding on February 8, 2023 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by Natural Resources and Northern Development, resulted in a total of $478,088.26 being added to provincial revenue.
Nine lease parcels, covering 880 hectares (2174.53 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $471,408.26. The average bonus price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $535.691 per hectare ($216.791 per acre).
This was the first land sale scheduled for 2023. The next sale will be held on May 10, 2023. The deadline for posting requests is February 9 , 2023.
