The results of competitive bidding on February 12, 2020 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Agriculture and Resource Development, resulted in a total of $203,449.49 being added to provincial revenue.
Ten lease parcels, covering 672 hectares (1,660.51 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $197,097.49. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $293.30 per hectare ($724.74 per acre).
Tundra Oil & Gas Limited paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $2,012.12 per hectare ($814.29 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the first sale scheduled for 2020. The next sale will be held on May 13, 2020. The deadline for posting requests is February 14, 2020.
