The results of competitive bidding on February 13, 2019 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $333,933.75 being added to provincial revenue.
Thirty-two lease parcels, covering 2649.60 hectares (6,547.16 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $311,860.17. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $117.70 ($290.83 per acre).
Elk Run Resources Ltd paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Pierson area. The firm paid $2,750.00 per hectare ($1,112.91 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the first sale scheduled for 2019. The next sale will be held on May 15, 2019. The deadline for posting requests is February 15, 2019.
