The results of competitive bidding on February 8, 2017 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $152,135.76.00 being added to provincial revenue.
Four lease parcels, covering 176 hectares (434.90 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $149,919.76. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $851.82 ($2,104.85 per acre).
Tundra Oil & Gas Partnership paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $2,654.00 per hectare ($1,074.06 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the first sale scheduled for 2017. The next sale will be held on May 10, 2017. The deadline for posting requests is February 10, 2017.
