The results of competitive bidding on February 11, 2015 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Mineral Resources, resulted in a total of $642,410.48 being added to provincial revenue.
Six lease parcels, covering 832 hectares (2,055.87 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $637,098.48. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $765.74 ($309.89 per acre).
Plunkett Resources Ltd, paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Manson area. The firm paid $4026.00 per hectare ($1,629.30 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the first sale scheduled for 2015. The next sale will be held on May 13, 2015. The deadline for posting requests is February 13, 2015.
