Synopsis of Manitoba's Oil Lease Sale

The results of competitive bidding on August 9, 2023 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by Economic Development, Investment and Trade resulted in a total of $51,326.93 being added to provincial revenue.
Fourteen lease parcels, covering 1,006.32 hectares (2,486.62 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $42,204.80. The average bonus price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $41.94 per hectare ($16.97 per acre).
This was the third land sale scheduled for 2023. The next sale will be held on November 8, 2023. The deadline for posting requests is August 9, 2023.
