The results of competitive bidding on August 14, 2019 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $107,414.93 being added to provincial revenue.
Twelve lease parcels, covering 512 hectares (1,265.15 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $100,822.93. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $196.92 per hectare ($486.59 per acre).
Tundra Oil & Gas Limited paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Virden area. The firm paid $543.43 per hectare ($219.92 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the third sale scheduled for 2019. The next sale will be held on November 13, 2019. The deadline for posting requests is August 16, 2019.
