The results of competitive bidding on August 15, 2018 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $551,688.63 being added to provincial revenue.
Twenty four lease parcels, covering 1,600.00 hectares (3,953.60 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $536,488.63. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $335.31 ($828.55 per acre).
Rockwell Resources Inc paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $1,285.00 per hectare ($520.03 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the third sale scheduled for 2018. The next sale will be held on November 14, 2018. The deadline for posting requests is August 17, 2018.
