The results of competitive bidding on August 10, 2016 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Growth, Enterprise and Trade, resulted in a total of $68,824.96 being added to provincial revenue.
Two lease parcels, covering 192 hectares (474.43 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $67,352.96. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $350.80 ($141.96 per acre).
Red River Oil Inc. paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Daly Sinclair area. The firm paid $404.65 per hectare ($163.76 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the third sale scheduled for 2016. The next sale will be held on November 9, 2016. The deadline for posting requests is August 12, 2016.
