The results of competitive bidding on August 12, 2015 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Mineral Resources, resulted in a total of $115,687.68 being added to provincial revenue.
Two lease parcels, covering 128 hectares (316.28 acres) were sold for a bonus amount totaling $115,687.68. The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $903.81 ($365.76 per acre).
Scott Land & Lease Ltd, paid the highest price per hectare for parcels located in the Virden area. The firm paid $903.81 per hectare ($365.76 per acre) as a tender bonus.
This was the third sale scheduled for 2015. The next sale will be held on November 4, 2015. The deadline for posting requests is August 14, 2015.
