If the event you are reporting is an emergency, contact local law enforcement by dialing 9-1-1 and report the event to the Protection for Persons in Care Office (PPCO) when safe to do so.
Report abuse or neglect to the PPCO
If you are looking to report a concern of abuse or neglect and are unsure where to report please select the below link that best describes your situation for further assistance.
- You are representing a health-care facility
- Your concerns relate to the community (e.g. somewhere outside a health-care facility)
- Your concerns relate to an adult living with an intellectual disability
- Your concerns relate to a minor

Once the PPCO has reviewed and validated this report, an intake investigator will contact you. For those reports submitted on behalf of the facility, a summary of the report will be emailed back to the facility using the email provided.
