2026 Manitoba Scaling Licence Course
The Manitoba Scaler’s Licence Course will be held in Swan River, Manitoba from Monday September 21 to Friday September 25, 2026. The registration fee for candidates attending the course is $200.00. The fee must be received before August 31, 2026 to reserve a spot.
Successful completion of the scaling course enables participants to apply for a Manitoba Scaler’s Licence which is valid for five years from the date of issue. Cost of the Scaler’s Licence is $50.00.

Each participant should secure and review the Manitoba Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures publication entitled Manual of Scaling Instructions Fourth Edition January 2025.
Each participant will require the following personal protective equipment and gear:
- Hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility vest, safety shoes/boots (mandatory)
- Suitable clothing for all field and weather conditions
- Calculator (small, portable)
- Spare writing pens/pencils
- Lap top computer (optional/recommended)
