2015 Individual Flood Protection Initiative

The 2015 Individual Flood Protection Initiative (IFPI) was developed to provide financial assistance to flood protect primary residences, farms and businesses affected by the flooding in 2014.

A total of 167 applications were received prior to the September 30, 2015 application deadline. Forty-three of these applications met all of the program eligibility criteria and were approved for construction. MI estimates that 60 to 70% of projects may proceed to construction, with an estimated grant funding of approximately $2.3 million to $2.8 million. As of late June 2018, 17 projects have been completed with $1.3 million in total grant funding provided.

The 2015 IFPI program will expire on March 31, 2020.
