File Search Request – Public Health Act
A file search can be conducted to uncover any outstanding orders/violations under the Public Health Act against a business or housing. Please be aware that only violations regarding structure, equipment and overall condition of the establishment will be disclosed.
A file search request received by a law office will be completed within 30 days of request.
Law offices may request a file search for the following types of businesses:
- food premises (commercial kitchen that serves food to the public)
- public and semi-public recreational water facilities (swimming pools, spas and hot tubs)
- licensed residential care, group home, or childcare facilities
- any other type of business or residential property, including owner occupied residences that may have outstanding issues or orders because of hoarding or health hazard issues.
