MANITOBA TAX ASSISTANCE OFFICE

 

Objectives

To provide information and assistance to Manitoba residence with enquiries about Manitoba income tax, tax credit programs and program applications.

To monitor all program claims to ensure accuracy, to assist in correction of inaccurate claims and to recover ineligible amounts previously claimed by taxpayers. 

 

Activity Identification

To provide information to taxpayers on programs listed below and administer these programs with the Canada Revenue Agency.

To process benefit applications or registration forms for these various programs.

 

Expected Results

Residents of Manitoba to receive information with regard to Manitoba programs enabling them to report accurate amounts and claim eligible benefits. 

 

Eligibility

To receive these tax credits and benefits you must:

  • Be a Manitoba resident.
  • File a personal or corporate income tax return, even if you did not earn any taxable income.

The amount of money you may get back is based on a number of factors, including, where you live, your age and income.
