COVID-19 Dashboard: School-Aged Cases and School Staff Cases in Manitoba

Health and safety measures in schools have been effective in keeping schools safe and in limiting the number of COVID-19 cases in schools. The dashboard below provides Manitobans with current information about COVID-19 cases among students and staff in Manitoba schools, including cases within the last 14 days and the total number of cases since September 7, 2021. A map of schools in Manitoba provides details on the number of recent cases among students and staff at particular schools.

The dashboard also reports schools that are in full-school remote learning. Full-school remote learning does not mean that an outbreak has been declared. Schools work closely with public health officials when determining if a school will move to remote learning.

Data is published on Tuesday and Thursday of each week, and the data is provided by Manitoba public health officials. No personal information will be posted. It is important to note that a student or staff case associated with a school on the map does not mean the individual was present at the school when infectious, or that acquisition or transmission occurred at the school. Schools will work with public health officials to help them identify who has been in close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

Letters of notification to a school community about a case are only sent if it is determined there were close contacts or that there is a need to notify a school community about a particular case. Not all cases reported in the data below or on the map will have resulted in a notification letter. For further information on the notification process, please see Toolkit for Notification of Cases in Schools.

Select COVID-19 Outbreaks in Manitoba

The data below shows the most up-to-date COVID-19 information available for current outbreaks in assisted living facilities, correctional institutions, healthcare facilities, personal care homes (PCHs)/long term care facilities (LTCFs) and schools. These locations are monitored because they are considered to be settings in which there is potential for rapid spread of the virus.

The total number of cases at a site may be higher than the outbreak total, as not all cases linked to a site may also be linked to the outbreak.

October 4, 2021: School outbreaks at Roblin and Kleefeld schools have been removed as no outbreak has been declared. The post was made in error.
