NEW! Apprenticeship Manitoba is going GREEN!
As of January 15, 2025, Apprenticeship Manitoba will no longer be accepting paper applications (including digital copies of paper applications) for apprenticeship agreements. Only applications submitted through accessmanitoba.ca will be accepted.
If you would like guidance in applying, please refer to the Supports/Tutorials page on the Access Manitoba website.

NEW! Regulatory Amendments to the Apprenticeship and Certification System
Several important changes have been made to the apprenticeship and certification system in Manitoba, to enable efficient program response to emerging industry needs, align Manitoba with interprovincial Red Seal standards, and to focus on high-quality apprentice training and safety.

New Occupations of Baker and Powerline Technician:
The web pages for these occupations are under development, including application forms, requirements and Red Seal Exam Information for the Trades Qualification process. Updating our site with these occupations is a priority, please monitor our website regularly.
NEW: Apprenticeship Manitoba Awards of Distinction
Apprenticeship Manitoba and the Apprenticeship and Certification Board hosted the 18th annual Apprenticeship Awards of Distinction gala on November 21, 2024. This event was a celebration of excellence that recognized the outstanding contributions that employers, journeypersons and instructors make to Manitoba’s apprenticeship system. Suspension of Review and Approval of Any New Accredited Programs for the Trade of Esthetician and the sub-trades of Nail Technician and Skin Care Technician
On April 20, 2023, the Apprenticeship and Certification Board approved the updated Provincial Occupational Standards for the trade of Esthetician and its two sub-trades of Nail Technician and Skin Care Technician.
Effective immediately and until further notice, Apprenticeship Manitoba will be suspending the review and approval of any new accredited programs in the trades of Esthetician, Nail Technician and Skin Care Technician.

NEW: Highest Achievement Awards
The Highest Achievement Awards is a formal awards ceremony held each year to honour the most outstanding new journeypersons, and recognize employers and leaders in Manitoba’s skilled trades.
This year’s 32nd Annual Highest Achievement Awards ceremony is being held on May 2, 2024 at the Manitoba Legislative Building. The individuals selected for these awards have completed all the requirements of their apprenticeship training and are honoured for excellence in both their academic achievements and on-the-job training.
Please join us in saluting the outstanding achievements of all our hard-working journeypersons.
