To Dame Mary Rex
Whereas, complaint has this day been made before the undersigned, one of Her Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for the Province of Manitoba for that you on the fifth day of March 1889, at Kola in the County of Dennis did detain one Hilda Blake with intent to deprive her lawful guardian Alfred P. Stewart of possession of the said Hilda Blake
These are therefore to command you, in Her Majesty’s name, to be and appear on Thursday at three o’clock in the afternoon at Elkhorn Before me, or such Justice or Justices of the Peace for the said Province as may then be there, to answer to the said Complaint, and to be further dealt with according to law.
Given under my hand and seal, at Elkhorn in the said Province this sixth day of March A.D. 1889.
