Look North - It's closer than you think.

Take a Trip

If you are considering a business investment in northern Manitoba, no doubt you will want to visit us first. Where do Manitobans "draw the line" between southern and northern Manitoba? The general agreement is, (and for purposes of this website) according to the Northern Affairs Act, "...all that part of Manitoba north of the northern boundary of Township 21...". It really is closer than you think!

There are many travel professionals, experienced and knowledgeable about the wealth of astonishing experiences to be had in "the north", to help you with your travel plans. And don't forget to ask about the many Indigenous cultural events and sites throughout the region!

To get you started and to help you focus your trip, visit this great website www.visitnorthernmanitoba.ca. While there, be sure to check out their many videos, as well as the amazing northern photography featured on their Instagram pages www.instagram.com/tourismnorth/.

Welcome to our north. We know that once you visit, you'll love it as much as we do! And chances are, you'll be back. We welcome you with open arms and warm hearts and a Look North.

At approximately 438,492 km2 northern Manitoba is a vast geographic area; it's hard to know where everything is. With a combination of all-weather roads, winter roads, rail travel and communities accessible only by air or boat, it could be a challenge to find your way around -- if northern hospitality and modern maps weren't at your disposal! The resources in this section will get you off to a great start.
