Provincial Clinical and Preventive Services Plan

Part of the transformation work was the creation of Shared Health, which is developing a preventive and clinical services plan. This plan will guide how services are funded, how the workforce is best used and how services will be delivered across Manitoba.

Hundreds of clinical experts, who understand the needs of Manitobans, are looking at specialty areas, like women's health, child health, emergency and critical care and mental health and addictions. They are reviewing data on the services, delivery and models of care in Manitoba and looking at how people access care, where people access care and how this care is coordinated.

The plan will include their recommendations on how to improve the system for patients. These changes will help provide better health care sooner for Manitobans.
