Celebrate the great work of public servants by capturing it through your camera lens!

(submitted by Jack Lee with PWGSC) No Place for a Woman – but these two from Environmental Services brave the drizzle and the infamous black flies of the northern tundra near Churchill, Manitoba. They are surveying federal land holdings for Species at Risk before the lands are transferred to the provincial government. Peggy Bainard Acheson (right) collects plant samples while summer student (Natalia Klumper) smiles through her nearly impervious netting. The photographer's back is protected by a rifle toting guide monitoring for approaching polar bears. We too are at risk as anything that moves in this landscape is looking for lunch.
