Our Client Products Go Global

The Food Development Centre is federally registered in Canada. Products manufactured in the facility are eligible for export to other provinces and countries, as long as they comply with regulatory requirements of the destination jurisdiction.

  

Registrations, Licences and Certifications

 The Food Development Centre is:

  • equiped to meet the Federal Meat Standards for registration under the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)
  • licensed by the Province of Manitoba and houses a Commercial Community Kitchen in one section of the building so that prototype products are saleable
  • licensed by the Organic Producers Association of Manitoba (OPAM) in the off-farm processing category for organic products
  • licensed to do research on cannibis products by Health Canada
  • licensed to process hemp including hemp grain, oil, flour, protein, beverage and butter through Health Canada
  • federally licensed to process fruits and vegetables under the Processed Products Regulations
  • provincially licensed to cut and package cheese
