Manitoba is coordinating a provincewide response to the growing concerns over the illegal use of fentanyl and other illicit opioid drugs.
Planning is underway for the provincial distribution of naloxone, a medication used to block the effects of opioids (including Fentanyl), especially in overdose. Take Home Naloxone kits will be made available free of charge to individuals at risk of opioid overdose across the province.
